No one wants a web site.
There are times when people have some business objective, which is directed at some target audience. In order to achieve that objective for that audience, a web site MAY help. But it is not a given.
I have a few in the pipeline at the moment and will post them as soon as they launch, but for now Chayaridge in the nav to the left is a bit of an interesting case study.
The basic idea behind the whole process is below:
Objective and Brief
I love exploring business objectives like a spelunker digs caves. The challenge is to quantify these objectives in a brief and define a solution that will address them in a measurable manner.
Design
My aesthetic design muscle is OK, but for the benefit of all I outsource the initial concepts and storyboards (Theresa has crazy good skills).
Build
My HTML gets the job done, but I'm no CSS wizard. Most of my experience is with Cold Fusion, but I have been known to hack my way through php or .asp when necessary.
Delivery
I try not to get involved in the maintenance. The main concern is: Sure, you have a website, but does the project meet the original objectives?
